The center

The organisation

SERC is a 6 year strategic center for research in
fundamental aspects of electrochemical cells funded by the Programme Commission for Energy and Environment under the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.

The project is managed by the Fuel Cells and Solid State Chemistry Division at Risø National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy, Technical University of Denmark.

The background

The research projects 

The technological background, the challenges
and objectives for the selected research area comprising electrochemical cells for energy conversion, gas cleaning and oxygen sensing.

The research of the center is carried out through education of Ph.D. students and postdocs. The first 8 projects are now running as planned.
