With a study line in Electric Energy Systems you will obtain expert knowledge within sustainable power production technologies as well as analysis, development and operation of electric energy systems based on renewable energy. The specialization covers e.g. wind energy, power transmission/power distribution, energy effective apparatus, electric components such as fuel cells and micro combined heat and power plants, hybrid vehicles as well as interaction between these technologies in a complex electric energy system. Focus will be on both technical and market related solutions. With a study line in electric energy systems you will obtain an overall understanding of the unified energy system and extensive knowledge about the electric system and its elements. The study line makes it possible to work with design and analysis of the future energy system with considerably renewable energy production and be employed at both energy companies, consultancies and industrial companies, including the windmill industry, as well as public authorities and institutions.
The prerequisite for admission to the study line in Electric Energy Systems is a B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent degree in another relevant field as well as relevant knowledge related to power engineering.
