  • How can we reduce global CO2 emissions drastically within the next few decades?
  • Which energy technologies do we need in the long run and how should the future energy system be designed?
  • After 2050, we are likely in the process of removing CO2 from the atmosphere. How should that be done?
  • How can we combine these fundamental changes with the need for continued economic growth?
  • How will we simultaneously provide modern energy for people in the world's poorest countries, where firewood is still the main source of energy?
Solutions extend infinitely far beyond switching to energy saving bulbs and buying cars that run a little longer to the litre. There is a need for a fundamental transformation of global energy systems. These tasks take decades and cost billions.

On the conference Danish and international energy experts from research, industry, authorities and organizations will discuss these major issues. Read more here.
