Risø DTU presents Fusion & Plasma Road Show in Paris

During its EU presidency, France has worked to establish a EU research forum and this weekend you can visit an exhibition which aims to show the best of Europe's scientific research. Risø DTU is participating in the European coordinated programme on fusion research. At EFDA's stand you can watch a show of exciting experiments created by scientists from the Plasma Physics and Technology programme.

For about one year, Senior Scientist Søren Bang Korsholm has been visiting upper secondary schools in Denmark with a Fusion & Plasma Road Show, introducing the students to the possibilities and technological challenges of fusion energy.

The show is also known within the European research cooperation EFDA (European Fusion Development Agreement) who used it at their stand at the European research exhibition.

The show alternates between theoretical slides and fun demonstration tests. Mainly the tests probably contributed to EFDA becoming one among 80 selected exhibitors in Paris.

See the website of La Ville européenne des Sciences (open from 14 -16 November)
The event also marks the opening of the French science festival, Fête de la Science, which takes place on 17 - 23 November.
